The Cottage

ABOUT US

At Druimbhan we are very environmentally conscious and try to use eco friendly methods and products where we can. There is full recycling provision and a composting bin outside for your food waste.

We hope that your find the cottage and the area both stimulating and relaxing, and a world away from everywhere else, taking some really special memories home.

With the burn flowing outside the window as your lullaby, fall asleep in soft organic cotton sheets. No need for sleep apps here.

AMENITIES

The cottage is centrally heated by a stove with a back boiler, with plenty of logs for your stay.

There is also an immersion heater for when you don't want the stove lit but want some hot water. The bedroom and kitchen both have electric panel heaters.

The cottage has a private water supply with particle filter and uv filter.

There is parking and a turning space for a car or small van at the end of the cottage track. The track itself is rather small, not for larger vehices. It is advisible when driving in from Fort William to go past the Druimbhan turning to the Lochailort Inn so that you may turn around and approach as a left turn, as the right turn in is too tight from the main road.

The train station is a short walk from the cottage with the railway above, so bringing a bike on the train would be ideal for your travel plans and adventures.

We have wifi, but no TV or landline telepone. There is some mobile reception but not all service providers get good cover here. It's perfect for feeling away from it all!

Oh, and remember to bring a torch!! There's no street lighting to speak of in most of the remote Highlands so it will be very handy.
